Killer Clean Eating Wings

Let's not even pretend that we don't like eating wings! It's no mystery that this tangy, spicy, crispy treat is just absolutely scrumptious. As delicious as it is, we need to clean it up a bit! Here's my killer clean-eating version of hot wings! The best part? They don't ruin the waistline!

Ingredients

2-3 lbs chicken wings 1/2 teaspoon salt, divided 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, divided 1/2 teaspoon ancho chili pepper, divided 1 garlic clove or 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder 1 cup Frank 's red hot 1-2 tablespoon olive oil 1/4 cup coconut oil 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles 1 bunch green onion, small dice Cooking spray

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. 2. In a large pot, submerge wings in water with garlic and 2 pinches of salt, pepper, chili powder. Cook for 30 minutes. 3. Drain wings from the water and place them in a bowl. Add the rest of the salt, pepper, chili powder, and olive oil and mix with tongs. Make sure that all of the wings are covered in olive oil. 4. Spray cooking spray on a baking sheet (substitute with parchment paper). 5. Place wings on the pan and cook for 35-40 minutes or until crispy. 6. Melt coconut oil in microwave for 30 seconds. 7. In a large bowl mix melted coconut oil with hot sauce. When the wings are done place wings in the bowl and coat with sauce. 8. Serve wings on a platter and sprinkle green onions and blue cheese crumbles on top!
